Homemade Granola Bars
You can probably think of a handful of times when you were running late for work or school and didn’t have time to make breakfast. When you look around and see nothing worth eating, you suddenly find a granola bar – the perfect on-the-go breakfast. But you don’t know if it’s healthy. Some granola bars are healthy – but what exactly are the healthiest granola bars?
If you’re like me, then granola bars are a staple part of your diet. They work perfect for a snack when your caught waiting for your next meal. You want this snack to be healthy, and trust me, so do I. Here’s a great recipe you can use to make sure you’re eating a healthy snack- on the go meal, making sure it has everything to fuel up your day.
INGREDIENTS
- 3.5 oz Plum Organics Just Prunes pouch (or substitute 1/2 cup applesauce)
- 3.5 oz Plum Organics Apple Raisin & Quinoa pouch (or substitute 1/2 cup applesauce)
- 1/3 cup agave nectar (or honey)
- 2 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds(optional)
- 1 cup dried cranberries (can substitute with your favorite dried fruit)
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup wheat germ
- Add: M&M’s, pretzels, walnuts, white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips…make it your own!
- Change it up and enjoy!
INSTRUCTIONS

Combine with oats, nuts, wheat germ and cranberries.

Line 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper and pour mix into pan.

Bake at 325F for 25 minutes.

Allow to cool for one hour then remove from pan and cut into bars. Makes 12 bars.
