Crunchy Donut Apples

A yummy and delicious kid snack that’s great for breakfast or when you need a boost of energy as a quick afternoon snack. It’s a great healthy fun project to do with your kiddos.  Let them have fun and make their own food Picasso!!!

Ingredients

12 oz. cream cheese, softened, cut into thirds
8 oz. yogurt (Greek yogurt optional)
2 tsp. honey, divided
1/2 c. blueberries
1/2 c. fresh strawberries
1/2 c. granola
1/2 c. melted chocolate
apples
Assorted sprinkles, for decorating

Directions

  1. Slice apples and use a biscuit or cookie cutter to hollow out centers. A round pastry tip works well too.
  2. Spread a layer of yogurt or cream cheese as your “frosting.”
  3. Add some fresh diced fruit on top of the yogurt.
  4. Drizzle honey on a few apples.
  5. Drizzle melted chocolate for extra sweetness!
  6. Crumble your favorite granola and sprinkle on top of the yogurt or cream cheese as well.
  7. Top it off with a few decorating sprinkles (optional)
